IDI Gazeley Leases 5,000 SQ M (54,000 SF) to Veolog Overseas at Magna Park Fos, Marseille, France

Building situated in the Distriport zone within the Port of Marseille

PARIS, February 09,2015 – IDI Gazeley (Brookfield Logistics Properties), a leading global investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, has today announced the lease of a 5,000 SQ M (54,000 SF) logistics warehouse to Veolog Overseas, a specialist port logistics operator and part of the Labatut Group, at its Magna Park Fos situated on the port of Fos-Marseilles, France.
The company has leased a storage cell of 4,700 SQ M (50,600 SF), which includes 200 SQ M (2,153 SF) of office accommodation within IDI Gazeley’s existing 20,000 SQ M (215, 285 SF) warehouse facility.

The building, developed in 2006 by IDI Gazeley, is located in the Distriport zone within the port of Fos-Marseille, France’s largest and most signficant port, situated at the gateway to the Mediterranean.

Speaking about the announcement, Fabrice Cervoni, Managing Director of IDI Gazeley France said, “We are delighted to welcome Veolog Overseas to our Magna Park Fos development on the port of Fos-Marseilles. The much sought after multi-modal capabilities offered by this site, together with its superb strategic location and high quality of service were the key factors in Veolog’s decision to come to Fos and choose IDI Gazeley.”

Also speaking about the announcement, Jean-François Mounic, Managing Director of Labatut Group said, “Veolog Overseas is the new port logistics subsidiary created by Labatut Group, to meet the needs of our customers that increasingly require on port storage facilities for the efficient import and export of their goods. The location of the Magna Park Fos development proved ideal for our business. The speed of delivery and the trustworthy relationship which we quickly established with IDI Gazeley were also key factors.”
